ANIMAL SCIENCE CLASS BUILDS DIGESTIVE MODELS

The Animal Science class has been learning about the various types of digestive systems found in different types of livestock.  In order to gain a better understanding of the inner workings of animal digestive systems, across differing species, the class created 3D models of systems in various animals using clay. Pictured L to R are Dalton Youtsey (pig), Gillian Heldenbrand (horse), and Saxton Pliley (dog) with their models of monogastric digestive systems.  By building these models students were able to gain a deeper knowledge of the systems proving that in the classroom or out, It is a Great Day to be a Redbird!
